Driver fatigue is dangerous. Avoid driving after a long-haul flight – we suggest you arrange overnight accommodation to make sure you are well-rested before you embark on your journey. When you’re on the road, move your eyes regularly to help you stay alert on long journeys. Understand the early warning signs of driver fatigue - if you feel tired and at risk of falling asleep at the wheel, pull over immediately in a safe place. Move to a passenger seat, lock the doors and take a 15–20 minute power nap.
